Kestrel Recruitment is a local Recruitment and Group Training Organisation specialising in placing candidates with our clients across North East Victoria and Southern NSW within both the white and blue collar sectors.

Our client is an extremely busy and family friendly Private Fitness Studio, who are seeking an outgoing and energetic candidate to complete a Certificate III in Fitness. This may lead to a Certificate IV in Fitness, or you may wish to utilise this as a gap year placement prior to your university studies in this field.

 

About the Role

This Traineeship is an ideal start for a recent school leaver seeking a career in PT Fitness or Sport and Recreation.

This position will see you assist the PT team in setting up classes and inspiring and supporting gym members with your positive and upbeat personality. You will assist in coaching, team program's, physical education and nutritional information as well as the set up and cleaning of equipment and organising activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to enjoy working in a busy friendly fitness environment with people of all ages and diversity. The position is full time, however, there will be split shifts and potentially some weekend work as needed

This is an entry level position and applicable award wages will apply.

The successful candidate will have a friendly and energetic personality and you will enjoy working with people of all ages and fitness levels to achieve their goals. You will have an outgoing personality and find working with a group and leading a group in fitness program's fun and inspiring, and you will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a confidential manner with both staff and members.  

 

Training requirements

As part of this Traineeship, you will undertake a Certificate III in Fitness.  A commitment to completing both the theory and on the job training requirements is necessary.

Please note that relevant RTO/Training fees are covered by Kestrel.

 

What you will be provided

Throughout the Traineeship you will be provided with ongoing support from Kestrel, your Host Employer and the Registered Training Provider.
