Based in Shepparton and servicing the Nagambie area, our client is a very well respected and trusted construction company, where the opportunity has now arisen to take on a motivated and proactive individual to complete an Apprenticeship in Certificate III in Carpentry.

 

About the Role

This is a career-start opportunity leading to an industry recognised qualification with the opportunity to develop your skills on the job in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be trained in all Carpentry skills with your duties including but not limited to:

• Assisting with the assemble and construction of frame work
• Regular use of hand and power tools
• Reading and understanding building plans
• Assisting other tradesmen
• Basic organisational skills 
• Maintaining cleanliness around work site
• Reading and understanding tape measures
• Following and respecting all occupational health and safety requirements.

About you

The successful candidate we seek will have a strong work ethic, will be prepared to listen and learn and must have patience and good communication skills. They must also thrive on a challenge and be prepared to work both inside and outside.

You will require a high level of motivation to successfully complete the practical and theory based components of your Apprenticeship.

 

Training Requirements

As part of this Apprenticeship, you will undertake Certificate III in Carpentry. A commitment to completing on and off the job training requirements of this Apprenticeship is necessary. 

Please note that relevant RTO/Training fees are covered by Kestrel.

 

What you will be provided

Throughout the duration of this Apprenticeship you will be provided with ongoing support by your Consultant at Kestrel which will include career advice, pay enquiries, performance appraisals, etc.
